Bio
Miranda Hebert
Certified Professional Animal Trainer (CPAT-KA), Fear Free Certified Animal Trainer
Miranda Hebert is an expertly-proficient animal training & behavior technician with over 15 years of hands-on animal training experience, and over 5 years working as a professional consultant with an emphasis on coaching owners in canine maladaptive behaviors (fear/aggression).
She has worked with a variety of animal species and always looks forward to adding more to her list. Her favorite species to work with is any she hasn't tried before (though she does have an undeniable penchant for dogs and horses)!
She considers her animal training skills second only to her capacity for learning—so long as it speaks to the 'nitty-gritty' applied science of behavior, or benefits the holistic wellness of the species she works with in order to better contribute to protecting and improving their lives through her work. Miranda never wants to see a world where humans and animals can't co-exist to the mutual benefit and support of each other's wellness, and has found her greatest strengths rooted in her experience teaching and learning from animals.
In addition to her best practices education and thousands of hours of technical experience, she credits Neurodivergence (ASD/ADHD) for her aptitude in applying logical analysis in efficiently breaking down behavior production plans for rapid ease of acquisition of skills for her animal learners, and in appearing to work effortlessly in communication with them.
Miranda is an advocate for live animal representation on screen and in popularized media, viewing this as an integral piece of protecting animal welfare through realistic depictions of animal behavior, expression, and inspiring heights of their true abilities.
Outside of her projects as an animal coordinator for the film industry, she continues to provide in-person pet training and behavior consulting services operating as 'It's as Easy as ABC Animal Training and Behavior' serving Cornwall, ON, and surrounding areas.
